So here's the dilemma: The Conservatives, whom I have voted for since the age of 18, will lose. I accept that. Normally, I would berate anyone for "Voting tactically," but I'm worried that the Tories will be absolutely slaughtered at the Polls tomorrow, and apparently, voting for someone who will lose is a wasted vote. We need a strong opposition, not some mishmash of Heinz 57 parties. With that in mind, I'm tempted to vote for Reform. 😟

Aren't Labour Antisemites? And Conservatives Islamaphobes? I'm not sure one can trust a party whose leader has spent the whole campaign bungee jumping, jet skiing and zumba dancing. 🤷‍♂️

Voting is largely about the 'lesser evil'. That's definitely not Reform, but do what you feel is best.

As I said (to someone looking for an argument) on 𝐗, under normal circumstances, I would never vote for Reform even though I freely admit to agreeing with one or two of their policies. My issue is that I would NEVER vote for Labour; the Liberals have a worse leader than Labour, in my opinion. The Greens are just a bunch of feckless amateurs, and I can't see myself voting for Count Binface even if he did have a candidate in my constituency.

TBH, the media and Social Media have done far too good a job telling everyone how the Tories are going to be annihilated; desperate means calls for desperate measures. If Social Media et al. are right and Reform is doing well, then maybe they're worth backing for the next five years. I'll probably end up voting Conservative, which will apparently be a wasted vote. 😢

I don't expect to influence you, but Reform are definitely not the answer. I know you are against changing the electoral system, but doing so would give them the chance of more seats and reduce the need for tactical votes.
You can't blame the media for the mess the Tories made of everything. Btw I see hardly any political stuff on social media.

I'm on FB too, but it's really crap these days. Mastodon has been interesting politically. You are one of very few Tories I've seen here. Of course we each have our bubble.

The graphs still have Conservative above Reform; so they could still be the opposition - the tricky bit is it depends on the actual number of MPs they get as opposed to % of votes.

To paraphrase Farage. I'm not interested in winning; that's a foregone conclusion. I'm more concerned about who will be the opposition and how strong that opposition will be. It's no good for the Tories to be in opposition if they only have 80 seats.
