I would argue that Starmer's current actions are borderline fascist. He's not ordered water cannons onto the streets. He's not offered some form of arbitration bringing 'community leaders' together; he just appears to have brought out the cosh. Which also seems to be weilded towards only one side of the argument.

What are the sides in this argument? People who are attacking the police, torching cars, trying to burn down hotels and other violent acts need to be stopped and deterred. They don't seem interested in arbitration when they turn up with beer and masks.
Do we have water cannons? Johnson bought some that were never used.
I fear someone will be killed. That would be tragic.
