So tonight, Britain, as usual, gets it wrong and celebrates the capture and death of Guido Fawkes in 1605. Robert Catesby and his co-conspirators were the ones who planned to blow up the House of Lords during the State Opening of Parliament on 5 November. They employed Guido (Guy) Fawkes, a mercenary expert in gunpowder, to do the deed, so in my book, Catesby is more the villain. I suppose "Robert Catesby Night" doesn't sound as good. 🤷‍♂️
