The problem with the UK is that nobody wants to pay taxes. They all believe there is this enormous body of '𝘙𝘪𝘤𝘩 𝘗𝘦𝘰𝘱𝘭𝘦' who can supposedly be squeezed to pay these taxes for them, but more importantly, that it's the government's place to provide everything for the population free of charge.
