One of the presenters made a good point on the BBC coverage of the US elections this morning. 40% of the voters in Georgia are black or Hispanic. Playing the race card didn't work, and as was pointed out, Hispanics who can vote are legally American; they are not illegal immigrants—a distinction a lot of people should take on board.

Oh, right - that was confusing me from some BBC stats which were showing the Black vote had gone with the Democrats but the hispanics hadn't.

TBH, and I know I say this a lot, but two of the presenters on the BBC at 05:00 this morning allowed (IMO) their personal views to affect their reporting. They didn't show the guy who said that it was like a background commentary, but I liked it because he was kind of saying: "Hold on a minute, let's get our facts straight, shall we?"
