Dear Whoever
If you are going to issue codes, don't use i or L because how the fooking hell am I supposed to know which one when the code is: DDII75U
in reply to dick_turpin

The problem is the code is on a document and needs to be put in the website portal.
sorted it now. Bunch of cretins.

After the debacle they created for themselves, it is gonna take a lot to get the community to trust them at all again.

ROTFLMAO

Twitter- Read Elon Musk- has sold off over 600 items, including the kitchen sink, in a bid to scrape together enough money to pay the first instalment of his loan, potentially $300M, next week.

This is so unfair! What on earth will Linux Podcasts have to talk about now? We need the SCO bunfight to start up again.

For the love of The Pond Gods
I've started using Markdown. And I always moaned about Markdown. #LeSigh

Oh crap, I've eaten my lunch. There's only an apple left. 😟

Note to self:
DO NOT! Watch any of @geerlingguy's latest videos, or you will end up buying kit you do not need!

And then suddenly Nicola Sturgeon realised she doesn't actually run her own country.

Talking to the missus on how part of the NHS problem is that we are able to keep more and more people alive these days, she retorted: "Oh, well. We'll all live to be 200 years old then!"

It would seem, she may have to eat those words because some folk are already trying.

Thank The Pond Gods for that. You can't get the Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W for the minute, so that means it's pointless buying any of the Argon Pod modules.

Oh, for the love of The Pond Gods!
I'm a sucker for @argon_forty stuff. I already have the ONE, the NEO and the EON.
TBH, it would just be an "Ooh! Shiny!" purchase I have no real use-case for the Pod System. Really tempted, though.

Really beautiful cases. And I don't have use-cases either 😂 nor money 🙄

People should be discouraged from using Social Media on their mobile phones because too many people use a mobile app to fire off a quick Tweet/Toot/Post without bothering to engage with their audience. If you sit at your computer or tablet, you're already in the zone for communicating.
in reply to dick_turpin

You're absolutely right!

A few years ago, on Google search results, you'd get two, maybe three "Paid For" results.

SomeResult

These days there's half a page of "Paid For" results.
Next time someone says: "Can I do your SEO? We'll get you first rankings!" ask them: "Are you paying Google for Ad placement then?" you can't get 1st place for free anymore.

I know someone on one of those 'Tradesman' websites who not only writes his own reviews but gets friends and family to write fake ones too!

I've yet to start uploading the episodes, and who knows, maybe I might pick up the microphone again? (Although not as TDTRS)

I've messed about with it for a few years. Went to the developer's talk at #FOSDEM in 2020

Bought a copy of Private Eye, which I would read more regularly if it weren't so sparse in its stories about Labour.

Clearly, everyone has finally returned to work today after the Christmas break because the roads are chocker-block full of cars and also lots of people who have forgotten how to drive. 🤦‍♂️

This is not Twitter!
Getting tired now of seeing people moaning that Mastodon doesn't do XYZ that Twitter does. If you can't adapt, maybe you should go back? You're clearly not happy here.

The missus came home with that Yorkshire tea. "Ooh, it's really nice." she enthused. The dog hates it! And he loves a brew. Sunday, we had Yorkshire pork "Bred and slaughtered in Yorkshire." the label proudly announced. That geezer Jay Blades from the repair shop now has a program "Yorkshire Workshop." what is it with all this "Yorkshire" stuff?

Prince Harry is that classic knobhead who says shit like:

"Don't take this the wrong way."
"I'm not being rude but."
"In the nicest possible way"

And then goes on to insult the buggery fuck out of you.

Still playing the "Victim" card, I see?

The man is full of shit. While I think we do get value for money out of the royal family, it sticks in my throat the millions this country has spent only for him to turn around and insult the British public. If I had my way, I would remove every title he has and probably go as far as to remove his UK citizenship.

FLU and COVID are currently competing for your body. Of course, some greedy feckers out there are inviting both in. There's always one gotta have it worse than you, isn't there? 😉

I've been ill all over Christmas. It looks like I gave it to my daughter. My neighbours are ill it's like diseased city at the minute.

A&E is not in crisis. They could cope perfectly well if it weren't for one problem. There are 𝗡𝗢 𝗕𝗘𝗗𝗦 𝗔𝗩𝗔𝗜𝗟𝗔𝗕𝗟𝗘. There's nowhere to put anyone! This is why patients lay on trolleys in corridors, not because there are no nurses or doctors; there are no beds! Get that through your thick skull!

Just been in the spare room and literally ripped the Epson Expression Home XP-2200 Printer off the shelf and took it downstairs, and threw it by the bins. It's only printed once and now won't print the missuses return (pdf) label so guess whose fault that is? Piece of shit.

I blame myself for not checking. The damn thing was not supported under Linux. I'll get an HP when I get back to work.

Given the news reports we constantly see about how Mrs Miggins waited 18 hours for an Ambulance after a fall, will anyone notice the strike?

Why would you have "Make and offer" on your #ebay listing only to ignore the offer #ebay suggested I make? I mean, it was only £7.00 off the price.

Tempted to get a second #ArgonEon I have to say I prefer my current Eon to my QNAP TS-251, which is now switched off because the noise of it constantly accessing the drives was doing my head in. I need a 2nd NAS to back up the 1st NAS

The missus went out last night, so me and Charlie watched The Italian Job (The proper version) on the TV and thoroughly enjoyed it. "You're only supposed to blow the bloody doors off!"

I wonder what would happen if a resident in a non-EU country refused to recognise the EU? You know, just ignored them. 🤷‍♂️
