Talking to the missus on how part of the NHS problem is that we are able to keep more and more people alive these days, she retorted: "Oh, well. We'll all live to be 200 years old then!"
It would seem, she may have to eat those words because some folk are already trying.

TBH, it would just be an "Ooh! Shiny!" purchase I have no real use-case for the Pod System. Really tempted, though.

A few years ago, on Google search results, you'd get two, maybe three "Paid For" results.

These days there's half a page of "Paid For" results.
Next time someone says: "Can I do your SEO? We'll get you first rankings!" ask them: "Are you paying Google for Ad placement then?" you can't get 1st place for free anymore.
I've yet to start uploading the episodes, and who knows, maybe I might pick up the microphone again? (Although not as TDTRS)

Tempted to get a second #ArgonEon I have to say I prefer my current Eon to my QNAP TS-251, which is now switched off because the noise of it constantly accessing the drives was doing my head in. I need a 2nd NAS to back up the 1st NAS

For all those who think Labour's jazzy idea of getting rid of the House of Lords is a brilliant move against the so-called rich upper classes, I would point out that it is a dangerous move that will remove all control over governments.

Yes, potentially, but I think the key benefit to them being elected is the increased mandate it will give the house.
I was actually largely in favour of our rather idiosyncratic second chamber until recently, but have become increasingly concerned by some of the people being awarded peerages.
Sadly, I've had to mark one of Evan's threads "Ignore" four days in, and people are still commenting (Totally off-topic, I might add). I prefer Fab's definition of Microblogging:
"It's like standing on a bridge over a flowing river; you see something, watch it for a bit and then it's gone."

Those calling for that scare me more than Nazis or Racists because they are using the well-tried tactic of forcing dissenters into submission and silence. Tell them they're talking out their backside, and you'll be labelled a hater.
Don't get me wrong, I'm neither for nor against Musk, but I have to say in some areas, he has a point. I honestly think the former Twitter owners were so scared of vast sections of the Twitter userbase that they waived the ban and account delete baton with impunity. I know of a couple of cases where it was obvious that a simple moan over a pathetic Tweet earned the posters an immediate ban with little to no recourse, and I feel, IMO, this is what they are attempting to do with the Fediverse. I'm just worried that Eugen Rochko et al. will roll over like a compliment dog and implement some sort of complete ban from the Fediverse rather than per instance.
